A low cost and safety UV imaging system
The darkroom holds the gel out of direct light. It also provides 100 % UV protection by shutting down UV when the front door
is opened.
GEL SMART PICOLO runs under Windows 2000 and XP. It is especially dedicated to print and save gels quickly in routine.
2 suitables darkrooms :
-CHA001 : designed for 15 watts UV tables (20*20 to 40*20 cm)
-CHA005 : including a 8 watts 26*21 cm in slide out transilluminator.

Analog frame grabbing
GEL SMART PICOLO uses analog video CCD camera with standard video resolution (768*576 pixels/8 bits). The camera can be
controled by the computer
to adapt the exposure time to the required sensitivity.
To quantitative analysis, image must not be saturated. The software enables to display saturated pixels by specific pseudo
color.

Image enhancement
Improve image quality by automatic or mouse driven contrast.
Image rotation is achieved in a few seconds. Smile correction will cost a few more.
Transilluminator Inhomogeneity response could reach +/- 10 % all along the area. Shading correction with white reference
image
reduce it closed to +/- 1%. Clara Vision offers scientific grade UV/White light converter on his catalog.

Image printing
2 types of printer can be selected :
-Digital thermal printing (100*75 and 130*100 mm) / high grade bright paper.
-Laser printing of A4 documents. Included report generator (PiModels) facilitates page arrangements.
